The CM Lodestar Manual Chain Hoist (MM003) is a compact 1/4 metric tonne hoist built around planetary gearing to minimize operator hand-pull effort. Unlike the ML-series hand chain hoist, the MM003 uses an automatic safety brake that engages when the minimum load threshold is reached — stopping the load even if the operator releases the chain or puts the unit in free-chain mode, in the same way a seat belt reacts. Standard lift is 8 ft; order by descriptive model number (e.g. MM003-20-18 for 20 ft lift, 18 ft drop).
